Time's up

My harddrive's been making weird noises for a week or so now, but tonight it finally died as I cntrl s'd my latest piece. Thankfully I've been backing everything up thru the network. But anyway, came out to watch some late night box. First song on Rage was NIN - Only, and dear lord, the videoclip is so damn awsome!!! One of the most labour intensive clips I've ever seen (production-wise). It focusses on one of those square things with a grid of metal pins (you press your face, hand etc in them to leave an image). The 'camera'  revolves around this object which is animated showing Reznor singing and stuff... Come a long way from Head Like a H

White noise

Haven't added a deviation in awhile for a few reasons, but should be active again soon... Been working on a cd cover for a mate and it's almost finished (needs the type), but I'll prolly throw that up sometime... hurrah! Also started some renders but got sidetracked one way or another... I need a magic colour monkey to complete my work. Either that or a regular monkey with computer skills. Or a monkey that talks fluent english and can be hired out to movie producers to make a hefty profit - they could even make a 3rd Planet of the Apes.

Well I just got home from seeing War of the Worlds, and I gotta say all the 'blood-vine' jazz reminded me of Beksinski's artwork. Made me wonder whether he took some inspiration from the book. Either way, the movie was average to good... Nothing too flash or original. A lot of action but not much 'real action' (where real action involves a battle as opposed to a trampling). Shenannigans! Now I must retire to my sleeping quarters for some sleeping.

Hey Simon!!

Yeah man, I did get your emo, cheeers heaps for the feedback, you definitely have a point with them white beefy arms! ;) Sorry it took so long to get back to you, life's been pretty hectic what with the lecturing, tutoring, studying (ugh!), banding, moving house and whatnot... but yeah..

How you doing anyways? I notice you have a rather luscious body of work here and on your website... been doing much self promotion? You're easily in a position to get some sweet-ass work.. I could see you in a place like Weta Digital, or somewhere like in the design studios for film companies and stuff.. yeah.. that would be freakin sweet.. you'd pwn at that LOL111eleven

Anyways, still in the middle of moving so must shoot thru,
I'll be seeing you at Bec's part-ley, but may have to organise some sort of housewarming or something before that...

Take care dude
- Ash!
